4th of July Office Hours & Celebration Tips
We will be closing our office early this Friday, July 1 and will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, July 5 so our staff can enjoy the holiday weekend with their families. In the meantime, to ensure that your 4th of July celebrations are fun and safe:
Fireworks should be left to the professionals; however, if you plan to use fireworks, make sure the are legal in your area.
Store your fireworks in a cool, dry place after purchasing.
Supervise all firework activities.
When using fireworks, always have a connected hose, bucket of water or other water source nearby.
Sparklers can heat up to 1,200 degrees F and should never be used by little ones.
Do not wear loose clothing while using fireworks.
Never light fireworks indoors, near dry grass or in windy conditions.
Light fireworks one at a time.
Never relight a "dud" firework. Wait about 20 minutes then soak "dud" in a bucket of water before discarding.
Keep all pets and animals inside your home and away from firework noise.
Do not experiment with homemade fireworks.
Always spray or soak spent fireworks with water and place in a metal can away from any building or combustible materials until the next day.
